The Hindus

The Hindu belief was started by no particular person. It was an "ethical law" that was higher than the gods. This idea was called World Soul, or Brahma. People believed that a person's soul was part of the "World Soul". Everyone's goal was to have their souls joined with Brahma's, therefore it would supposedly bring them happiness and absolute peace. Many years later, the term Brahma was changed (by Buddha) to Nirvana. These thoughts began the Hindu religion. There is no written theology that tells what the Hindu's actually believe. Because of this, almost every time a new religion was brought into India, it was consumed by Hinduism. Therefore, Hinduism was a diverse religion.

One of the Hindu's beliefs is reincarnation. If a person lives a wicked life, his soul can be "reborn" into a body of a lower class of people. Likewise, if a person lives a good life, he can be "reborn" into a body of a higher class. Supposedly, the purpose of living is to teach the soul how to become perfect. The idea of Hinduism is that life should be full of sorrow and misery.

The Hindu's major god is Trimurti; he is thought to be three gods in one. They are Brahma (the creator), Vishnu (the preserver), and Shiva (the destroyer). Vishnu is supposed to be a kind god, continually working for the benefit of the world. I'm not completely sure what the other two gods are supposed to do, except that if you no longer have to go through reincarnation (because your soul is perfect), your soul joins with Brahma.

Hindusim was, and remains to be, a severe religion.

Tell me what you all think, and if I should continue with the religion of the Buddhists.

How's that Leen?
