Yesterday while we were working outside, a crop-duster was spraying some fields close to our house. Sometimes he would fly directly over our house while he was making a turn to come back around to spray a field closeby. My whole family was out on our deck observing the plane. My dad was taking pictures! The pilot evidently saw my dad taking pictures and thought he'd hot dog a little. He gave off a little puff of his poisonous material, as if to say "hi" (cough, cough). In the past he's said "goodbye" as he waved his wing a few times too. So yesterday, he flew over our house a few times just for fun, and the last time, he got down to the level of our deck (which is about 12 foot high). He came right at us! All we could see was the perpellers of the plane coming straight for us. Here is a picture of him while he was at our eye-level! Once he got close enough to our house, he pulled the plane straight up. I think he thought he was pretty cool. It was pretty awesome! One thing for sure, never give a 'cropper' the impression that you are his audience. I was in the car with my mom last spring when he gave us quite a scare. As we were driving up our driveway, my mom looked in the rearview mirror and he was coming straight for us. He really frightened us!
While my family was working outside yesterday, my dad had a little accident. My mom and dad were trying to put the bagger on the back of my dad's riding lawn mower. There are two pieces of metal that have to be lined up in order to screw a bolt through them. My dad stuck his finger in the screw hole to see if it was lined up. Well it was, but it shifted on him (thanks to Mom) and sliced right through his finger-nail and into his finger. My mom took him to the emergency room. The doctor there basically just pushed his nail back together and glued it. So now Dad has a big bandage on his index and middle finger.
One other thing I have to say is..............I am finished with school for the year!!!!! HORRAH!!!!!! I finished last Friday, except for an achievement test I have to take in May just to see if my mom is teaching me right! ha ha
